Who we are

City Cinema is an independent movie theatre located in downtown Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. We showcase films, special events, and community programming in a welcoming setting that’s a different kind of moviegoing experience. Parking: Limited lot parking at our building is available during weeknight evenings and weekends (from the King Street side), however parking is reserved during business hours for office tenants.

Street Parking is available throughout the downtown core (city meters do not require payment after 5pm on weekdays, or on weekends)

Paid Underground Parking is available nearby at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel.

Accessibility and Amenities

At City Cinema, you’ll find a full-service canteen, with beverages, snacks, and the best popcorn in town – featuring real butter! We are also fully licensed to sell alcohol – for selected shows we have an assortment of wine, coolers, and local craft beer on sale to enjoy!

Our box office and concession stand both accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Interac Debit).

City Cinema is fully accessible. Our 70-seat Cinema has two reserved seats for patrons with mobility devices each paired with seating for a partner.

City Cinema has level access from the street at both the King Street and Water Street entrances all the way into the Cinema. For any accessibility or accommodation concerns, please e-mail or call City Cinema.
