City Cinema is available for private rentals. Whether you’re planning a celebration, screening, lecture, or special gathering, our cinema offers an experience your guests won’t forget.
We’re located in the heart of downtown Charlottetown.

Our full-service canteen is available for all events, with beverages, snacks, and the best popcorn in town – with real butter! We are also fully licensed to sell alcohol, with an assortment of wine, coolers, and local craft beer.
Our 70-seat Cinema has two reserved seats for patrons with mobility devices each paired with seating for a partner.
The rental price varies based on showtime, format, runtime, etc. Rentals start at:
$250 – off-hour rental (not in place of one of our regular shows)
As a not-for-profit registered charity, we don’t collect HST.

Include your name, the date and time you’re interested in showing the film, the film you’d like to show, the runtime, and any additional requirements you may have for your screening.
If you’d like to do a screening that’s open to the public we can assist you in acquiring the license to screen a specific film.
We normally take rental bookings one month in advance.
